Elrona Silba D’Souza
I always knew that I wanted to be in HR and pursued a formal education in HR with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree at the University of Wollongong in Dubai. Over my 15-year corporate career at Halliburton, KBR and Wood, I built invaluable experience working at various multinational companies and saw a large opportunity in the market with startups and SMEs in terms of their talent needs.
This led me to establish S&K Consulting through which I could partner with the leaders of tomorrow to drive their people agenda and change the HR landscape, one company at a time. This is why I now leverage my education and expertise to help the SME market in the UAE.
I am passionate about staying current with my HR skills and knowledge, and working in consulting allows me to evolve alongside the unique businesses we work with. Additionally, my aim is to contribute at a broader level and drive a bigger vision to affect the HR landscape in the UAE.
Throughout my career, I have presented at numerous events including the Middle East HR Summits and Nationalisation Events. In addition, I have also published articles in the HR Observer and other similar publications.
I love having company around and am always one to host guests! This is why, as a ‘people person with a business mindset’, I can engage in consulting and help both businesses and people.

Desma Rovina D’Souza
After over 15 years of growing my career in the corporate world and being part of start-up journeys of Etihad Airways, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and Kings College Hospital London in Dubai, I was keen to bring the discipline and best practices of HR to the small business community in the UAE.
I have rapidly risen through the ranks into key leadership roles which required me to partner with business leaders across industries advising them on managing the biggest asset – their people. I am passionate that the HR agenda is designed to impact business results and partner with business leaders to drive this agenda.
I have been part of several merger and acquisition projects involving the redesign of organisation structures, reductions in workforce, the creation and roll-out of strategic HR programs and effectively implementing them through change management strategies and initiatives.
In addition, I have also authored multiple award-winning submissions for the GCC Excellence Awards as well as Brandon Hall Excellence Awards.
I am extremely passionate about personal growth and invest in this tremendously! From reading at least 2 books a month to consuming content on various educational platforms, I do it all. I am a strong advocate of a positive approach to addressing challenging situations and have a daily meditation practice to keep my mind sharp. I am also an admin of the Best Bites Facebook group with 17,000 members and growing rapidly.
